Trio Cafe, Bar & Restaurant, Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach. 7:45 am. It's raining heavily, it's extremely windy, and it's cold... The sort of morning where you just want to hit the snooze button and curl up under your warm bedcovers. But... if you're the birthday girl you have to drag your toosh outta bed and get to breakfast with some girlfriends! That was the case for my friend Megan who celebrated her birthday today. Lucky for her she lives only a stone's throw from the cafe ;) hehe!

Trio is located at Bondi Beach, with spectacular views of the beach. Unfortunately the rain was so torrential it was hopeless trying to capture the view, so you'll have to go and check it out for yourself ;) At any rate, I feel it's important to emphasise that Trio is not your run of the mill beachfront cafe... I mean, a lot of beachfront cafes have a great outlook, but that often where the greatness ends.. but not in this case. Trio is seriously good. Oh, and just a disclaimer on this post - I paid for my breakfast, not the cafe, so this piece is based on my opinion...
Nice coffee?  Check!
Great food? Check!
Efficient and friendly service? Check!
Good company? Check!

Capuccino $3.80

Latte $3.80

After our morning caffeine hit, our breakfasts soon reached the table, and our grumbling tummies were ready for it!

Boss eggs
Scrambled eggs with fetta & truffle oil, served with sourdough toast, avocado & prosciutto
$20.50

Cinammon and vanilla scented french toast
Served with raspberry & apple compote & warm maple syrup
$17

Homemade muffin of the day
$6

Poached eggs & toast with a side of roasted tomatoes
(complete with a celebratory sparkler for the birthday girl)
$13.80

Although it is slightly on the pricey side, Trio is a beautifully located and quality place for a special meal like ours today. Their breakfast menu is extensive and the serving sizes are very generous - you'll be sure to find something to get you going in the morning.
